TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA – The Tampa Bay Lightning fell Thursday night in heartbreaking fashion after giving up the game-winning goal to Las Vegas in overtime at Amalie Arena.
The Lightning (38-21-6) almost pulled off a semi-miracle performance after scoring two of their three goals with less than three left in the game.
The Lightning is another back-to-back that begins on Saturday against Chicago.
Tampa Bay Lightning comeback fell short when Las Vegas Knights Jack Eichel’s shot from the high slot trickled through Andrei Vasilevskiy and Martinez was first to dive the puck and knock it in from the blue paint.
