BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – A Trump wave rally has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 4 in Merritt Island, organizers announced on Friday.

The rally will be held along State Road 520 (Merritt Island Causeway) and Courtenay Parkway.

The rally is being held to support former President Trump after his recent indictment by a Manhattan Grand Jury.

Organizers of the event say supporters can bring US Flags, Trump Flags or “Trump witch hunt posters.” They are asking that no other candidate signs be used.

Organizers also ask attendees don’t park in area near front of CVS.

Former President Trump has released a statement after being indicted by a Manhattan Grand Jury on Thursday.

“These Thugs and Radical Left Monsters have just INDICATED the 45th President of the United States of America, and the leading Republican Candidate, by far, for the 2024 Nomination for President,” said Trump. “THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD!”

The indictment remains under seal and it is not yet known exactly what crimes the grand jury decided to charge him with, the Times reported, citing four unnamed sources.

The charges stem from the $130,000 hush money payment then-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen made to adult film star Stormy Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election in exchange for her silence about an alleged sexual encounter with Trump in 2006.

Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York opted out of charging Trump related to the Stormy Daniels payment in 2019, even as Cohen implicated him as part of his plea deal. The Federal Election Commission also tossed its investigation into the matter in 2021.
