BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Animal Services is offering free adoptions on dogs and cats for the month of April after the contribution by Boniface Hiers Automotive Group.
The offer includes spay/neuter, a microchip, current vaccinations, free medical insurance through Trupanion and a county tag ( with an approved application).
As a reminder, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office South Animal Care Center also offers one (1) hour obedience class each Saturday starting at 9:30am.
BCSO is asking citizens interested in the class to check-in with Care Center Staff at 9:20am.
The class is open to anyone that has adopted a dog from BCSO Animal Services, as well as community members that have made an appointment to surrender a dog to their shelter. The class focuses on basic obedience and solving minor behavior issues for your furry friend.
Since 2014 when the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office took over Animal Services in Brevard County, A.J. Hiers of Boniface Hiers Automotive Group has donated thousands and thousands of dollars to feed all of the pets in our care.
“A.J. called me and told me that he not only wanted to continue to sponsor the food for the pets at our Animal Care Center, but also wanted to pay for all of the pet adoptions at our Animal Care Center during the months of January, February, March, and April so that we can find homes for as many pets as possible during the first part of 2021,” said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.
“A.J.’s kindness and compassion for pets is incredible as he truly wants our team to find homes for all of the homeless pets that enter our facility.”
Sheriff Wayne Ivey and Space Coast Daily continue to work together on finding forever homes for animals currently staying at the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office South Animal Care Center.
“As Sheriff of Brevard County, I am extremely excited to partner with Space Coast Daily to highlight and profile the many amazing animals that are temporarily staying at our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Care Center,” said Sheriff Ivey.
Those interested in adopting a pet can visit the BCSO South Animal Care Center which is open Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
