Felipe (Phillip) Zayas, 59, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away March 26, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and beloved dog Sophia.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Felipe (Phillip) Zayas, 59, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away March 26, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and beloved dog Sophia.

He was born on September 17, 1963, in Havana, Cuba.

He was preceded in death by his parents Juan Carlos Zayas, Gliceria Nunez Ravirificci, stepfather Jorge “Suco” Raviriffici and sister Maria Medina.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife Cherri Zayas; two daughters, Stephanie Zayas of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Ashley Zayas of Lakewood, California. Two step-sons, Troy Walker, of Shelby, North Carolina, Michael Walker of Bluffton, South Carolina, stepdaughter Jamie Burke of Forney, Texas Brother, Juan Zayas, of Melbourne, Florida, five grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren. As well as loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Phillip had a love of motorcycles and for family and friends and treasured his time and memories with them all. He had a great smile and will be remembered for making people laugh with his wisecracks.

He worked as a maintenance technician at Main Street Renewal, which he was very passionate about. For Phillip, it was more than just a job, it was about the enjoyment that he received out of serving others.

A private military ceremony was held at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, 1001 Hickory Street, Melbourne, on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.

A celebration of Philip’s life will be held at a later date.
