One Person Found Dead After Mobile Home Fire in Palm Bay

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Fire and Rescue identified one person dead in a mobile home after it caught fire on Crystal Court in the Holiday Park community.
“When crews initially got on scene, they found heavy smoke conditions and fire inside the home. When they made entry inside the home, they found a deceased victim inside the house,” said Palm Bay Fire and Rescue’s Public Information Officer John Ringleb.
The fire was eventually extinguished. Officials say the contained heavy smoke and made the fire extremely dangerous for anyone inside.
The person found dead inside the mobile home was described as an elderly woman.
“She was an elderly woman. She did live there alone. There was no one else in the home with her when the fire started,” Ringleb said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
