BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Brevard Grand Jury Indicted 18-year-old Levi Creek and 17-year-old Brenton Dixon for First-Degree Felony Murder, and Attempted Robbery with a Weapon, in connection to the death of 19-year-old Joshua Torres in Titusville.

On January 30, 2022, shortly after 8:00 pm, Titusville Police responded to a 911 call of gunshots in the area of Jupiter Ave and Knox McRae Drive.

Upon arrival officers found Torres dead from a gunshot wound and seated in his car. The Medical Examiner later ruled the death a homicide.

Investigators developed two suspects, Creek and Dixon who were both juveniles at the time of the murder.

Over the next 15 months, evidence gathered from the crime scene, a search warrant, and witness testimony lead to the arrest of Creek, who was charged on March 22, 2023, and held without bond. Dixon, who is already in custody on an unrelated charge, will now be served with the Grand Jury Indictment and face prosecution as an adult.

The Grand Jury heard testimony from a Titusville crime scene and criminal investigator, along with a lay witness before returning with the indictment.

No trial date has been set in this case.

Dixon is currently in secure detention out of the area and will be transferred to the Brevard County Jail on a future undisclosed date
