BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigative Unit was at the scene at 1524 Paradise Lane in Cocoa on Wednesday, where they executed a search warrant for drugs being sold at the residence.

Among the drugs found inside the residence were Fentanyl, Oxycodone, and Methamphetamine.

Agents had previously made purchases of narcotics from the residence on 1524 Paradise Lane in Cocoa and had also identified Elwood Beauchamp as the suspect responsible for the sale and delivery of the narcotics from that location.

The search warrant was executed by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team who made entry into the residence and then secured several suspects inside.

During the entry, Beauchamp threw a sock filled with fentanyl out the bathroom window in an effort to distance himself from the evidence.

Seized as evidence during the execution of the search warrant was approximately 38 grams of fentanyl, a small plastic baggie containing a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, and two tablets of Oxycodone.

Fentanyl is one of the most dangerous drugs we face today. The amount of fentanyl that was in Beauchamp’s possession, if put into a lethal dose, would be enough to kill approximately 19,000 citizens.

Another great job by our Deputies and Agents in getting a drug dealer off our streets and locked behind bars where he can’t prey upon the addictions of others any longer for his own greed.
