Man in Critical Condition After Shooting On Cedar Drive, Melbourne Police Detectives Seek Shooter’s Identity

Melbourne police officers responded Saturday night at 9:26 p.m. to the 900 block of Cedar Drive regarding several reports of gunshots and a possible gunshot victim. “Officers arrived on the scene, quickly located a victim, and immediately rendered medical aid,” said Melbourne Police Cmdr. Heath Sanders. “The victim was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center and is currently in critical condition.”

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police officers responded Saturday night at 9:26 p.m. to the 900 block of Cedar Drive regarding several reports of gunshots and a possible gunshot victim.

“Officers arrived on the scene, quickly located a victim, and immediately rendered medical aid,” said Melbourne Police Cmdr. Heath Sanders.

“The victim was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center and is currently in critical condition.”

Cmdr. Sanders said the initial information received was that unknown suspects fled the area in a white car prior to the arrival of officers.

The victim’s identity is not being released at this time, and Melbourne police detectives are actively investigating this incident.
