A motorcyclist was killed after a crash late Wednesday night in Merritt Island on N. Courtenay Pkwy. near Catalina Isle Dr.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash late Wednesday night in Merritt Island on N. Courtenay Pkwy. near Catalina Isle Dr.

The identity of the motorcyclist is a 22-year-old man from Merritt Island.

Authorities say the crash happened around 10:38 p.m. ET when a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Palm Bay woman struck the motorcyclist as she attempted to make a left turn onto N. Courtenay Pkwy. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and was struck by another vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Merritt Island man after being thrown from the bike into the southbound lane.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
