Satellite High Girl’s Tennis Captures District Championship, Wins FHSAA Regional Semifinals 4-2

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – The Satellite High girl’s tennis team won districts without dropping a set and won the regional semifinals, 4-2.

As the top winner of districts, Ellie Carpenter went on to play at states in singles and doubles with Maya Boysen. Ellie, in 2A singles, made one of the deepest runs in the girl’s singles bracket.

Ellie won her quarterfinal singles match, 6-4, 7-5, losing in the semifinal, 6-1, 6-3.

In doubles, Ellie and Maya won their quarterfinal (6-0, 6-2) and semifinal (6-1, 6-4) matches, where they played Pine Crest School in the finals.

Ultimately, they would lose the matchup, 6-1, 6-2.

“Congratulations on a great season and championship run for both teams!” said a BPS spokesperson.
