(SI.COM) – West Virginia defensive back Davis Mallinger will be switching positions. WVU head coach Neal Brown told the media that he will be moving over to wide receiver ahead of spring practice, which begins Tuesday.

Mallinger was considered one of the fastest players on the team last year and is someone who can add value to the special teams unit.

Mallinger was a big play threat in the passing game at Cocoa HS.
