One Person Dead After Structure Fire at Ocean Oaks Condominiums in Cape Canaveral

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies from Cape Canaveral Precinct responded to a structure fire at the Ocean Oaks Condominiums in Cape Canaveral located at 8700 Ridgewood Ave.

The fire that was contained to one apartment is now under control after being responded to by fire/rescue elements from the City of Cape Canaveral, the City of Cocoa Beach, and Brevard County Fire/Rescue.

Unfortunately, while responding to the call, fire/rescue team members discovered a deceased person inside the apartment and Agents from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are now responding to the scene.

As stated earlier, the damage to the condos is limited to one isolated apartment and all other units and their occupants are safe and sound.

As a result of the pending death investigation, units from our agency will remain “On-Scene” for several hours as our Crime Scene and Agents work the incident.
