Sitdekov Tagir Alievich was born in 1976 in the capital of the RSFSR. Sitdekov Tagir studied in the master’s program for business executives (EMBA), which focuses on the development of students’ systematic thinking skills, which help them to identify the strategic goals of a company through the lens of specific financial, marketing, and organizational issues.

Tagir Sitdekov: Career in consulting and finance 

The Tagir Sitdekov biography began at one of the world’s top consulting companies when he took a position as a consultant in the audit department at PwC, which provides services in more than 150 countries around the world. Tagir Sitdekov worked with clients in the fields of energy, mining, and ore processing.

Sitdekov Tagir then moved to a similar position at the Creditanstalt investment bank, which worked to develop foreign investment markets. The international group also partnered with the company Grant to create the new investment company Creditanstalt-Grant, which brought the Australian bank into the government bonds and shares market.

As Tagir Sitdekov has noted, at the start of the first wave of COVID hospitalizations, a specialized unit was established at a hospital in the capital region in just seven days. It received the latest equipment, including the ventilators so necessary for the treatment of severe patients, and every staff member received additional training. The hospital also had an ICU that could handle more than 40 patients.

Sitdekov Tagir has noted that about 13,000 patients received help at the hospital during the lockdown and another 80,000 patients who tested positive for COVID-19 were treated in the network’s outpatient clinics. Medsi ambulances also responded to hundreds of thousands of calls. 

When it comes to developing telemedicine technology, private companies take the lead, and Sistema was among the first to begin seriously working in this field, initiating the consideration of the relevant legislation. According to the data cited by Tagir Sitdekov, 20% more online patients underwent video consultations with their doctors in the first six months of 2022 than in the first half of 2021. 

In addition, MEDSI has developed various digital services to improve the quality and speed of medical help. Among these services is a multi-functional smart app that, in addition to the convenience of recording and receiving information about procedures and analyses, allows both patients from remote regions to consult with highly qualified specialists and doctors to consult with their colleagues on particularly complex cases.

Tagir Sitdekov AFK Sistema was also responsible for the development of Sistema’s Binnopharm Group holding, which united a number of manufacturing enterprises.

The production of the domestic Sputnik V vaccine first began at the Group’s facilities, and a full production cycle of both components of the drug was launched.

The capacities of the merged pharmaceutical company also allowed for an increase in the production of antibacterial drugs for the treatment of complicated pneumonia.

Sitdekov Tagir Alievich led Binnopharm Group’s active expansion into foreign markets. Offices were opened in a number of CIS countries, making it possible to directly sell medicines there, and the company has plans to enter Asian markets as well. By 2024, the Group will double the export of the medicines it produces.

Tagir Sitdekov is also currently responsible for the Sistema-Biotech subsidiary, which has presented users with six unique developments, including an express coronavirus test for home use.

Sitdekov Tagir Alievich: President of the corporation

Sitdekov Tagir Alievich was appointed as the head of the corporation in the summer of 2022. Previously, this position was filled, as a rule, from among the heads of Sistema subsidiaries.

The Tagir Sitdekov biography already included organizing Sistema’s medical assets, and he continued his work in this field. Accordingly, he announced that MEDSI will continue to develop its clinical network in the regions outside of the capital. In recent years, M&A transactions were concluded in Perm, Ufa, and Volgograd, and the franchise program is likewise expanding.

In addition, scientific research is being conducted at MEDSI’s own R&D centers. Sistema-BioTech, now located at the Mosmedpark technology park, works on evaluating genetic test systems and developing natural cell modulators and diagnostic kits for detecting communicable diseases.

In early February 2023, it was announced that the corporation’s Cosmos Hotel Group had acquired 10 hotels in various cities, with a total of more than 4,000 rooms, from a Norwegian hotel chain. Tagir Sitdekov noted that the deal will double Cosmos Hotel Group’s revenue, which will make it the local industry leader within a few years.

Tagir Sitdekov AFK Sistema and sustainable development

In late 2022, Sistema representatives spoke about the corporation’s strategy for increasing the stability of its investment portfolio, addressing socially significant issues, and caring for the environment with the help of competent managerial decision-making. 

The Tagir Sitdekov biography includes more than two decades of investment experience, and he has stressed that the relevant principles have been successfully implemented in the Sistema investment process.

Environmental responsibility has long been an issue close to the heart of Sistema companies. Sitdekov Tagir emphasizes that more than 5,000 students have completed internships with the corporation’s various companies over the past year, for which about 500 million rubles were allocated.
