BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Local author Ann Marie Conklin recently sat down with the Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson to talk about her book that describes her childhood, “A Grave for the Devil: A Warrior’s Memoir.”
As her book description reads, the reader is drawn into “her harrowing journey of crime, chaos, abuse and betrayal.”
During her conversation with Wilson, she stated that, “My older brother, the devil in this book, abused all of the younger siblings in every way imaginable.”
She went on to say, “by the time I was eight years old, I was being forced to commit crimes for him.” Conklin was breaking into homes, shoplifting, and much more.
By the time she was ten years old, she was living in an orphanage.
Conklin, with the support of some caring and loving individuals, dug out of her past and is currently a licensed therapist that has treated children for over 20 years.
