59 Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes Named to All-Academic Teams

Titans had 16 student-athletes earn a 4.0 GPA

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College had 59 student-athletes named to 2022-23 All-Academic Teams, recognizing student-athletes across the country.
A total of 10,267 student-athletes have been honored for achieving a GPA above 3.60. Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2022-23 academic year.
The Titans had 16 make the first team, finishing with a 4.0 grade point average.
Five of them made the first team for the second straight season as Leandro Santoro, Hanna Mebius-Svensson, Rosa Redondo Sorribes, Gabrielle Fernandez and Makenzie Fore all posted 4.0 GPAs again this year.
Joining them on the first team are women’s basketball player Martina Narro, men’s tennis player Eric Tripathi, softball player Abigail Smith, women’s soccer players Isla Brown and Mia Lewis, volleyball players Gaia Riedmuller and Emma Kiser, women’s tennis player Simona Karlsson Hantzis, women’s golfer Sarah Knitter and baseball players Gavin Zieglar and Grayson Adams.
The second team consisted of student-athletes with a GPA of 3.80 and 3.99. The Titans had 13 make the second team.
Men’s basketball player Caleb Byrd (3.90), men’s golfer Pontus Torgner (3.83), men’s soccer player Ryan Thomas (3.81), men’s tennis players Lucas Gonzalez (3.90) and Eric Bertolin (3.81), softball players Kaitlyn Egenes (3.90) and Trinity Howard (3.82), women’s soccer players Jessica Martin (3.88), Sofia Posner and Amaya Quintal and volleyball players Rylie Patrick (3.87) and Sofia Kamke (3.80) as well as women’s tennis player Paige Noble Lucas (3.81).
The third team consisted of student-athletes with a GPA of 3.60 and 3.79. The Titans had 30 make the third team.
Softball players Samantha Formosa (3.70), Ariana Gonzalez (3.70), Mandy Hedetniemi-Taylor (3.70), Ava Bassani (3.61) and Rachel Lamoureaux (3.60), women’s soccer players Lea Montiero (3.79), Ana Alvarez (3.79), Samira Roper (3.68) and Isabelle Bernier (3.68), women’s tennis players Ksenia Krupniakova (3.70), Luisa Renovales (3.69) and Gloria Barcaro (3.64), volleyball players Paulina Dobreva (3.68), Sophia Knowles (3.61) and Rachele Braccio (3.60), women’s basketball players Elli Garnett (3.71), L’or Eyeba Mputu (3.64) and Shadaria Smith (3.61), men’s basketball players Matija Zuzic (3.68) and Eric Parnell (3.64), men’s golfers Adam Vermut (3.75) and Murphy Allard (3.62), men’s soccer players George Wyatt (3.71) and Preston Price (3.60), men’s tennis players Hugo Car (3.68) and Jack Dixon (3.64), baseball player Brady Guthrie (3.76), men’s cross country runner Dayton Law (3.75), women’s cross country player Margaret Dickinson (3.67) and women’s golfer Jasmine Yang (3.69).
