OBITUARY: Letha Ford, 70, Passed Away Surrounded By Loving Family June 29 in Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Letha Ford (Toomsen) passed away at the age of 70 surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 29, 2023, in Melbourne, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 50+ years Butch, her son Troy and his wife Amy, and her grandsons Ryan and Russell.
She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey, parents, Wilbur and Reba Toomsen, her brother Loren, and sister Linda.
She attended Rollins College and received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Letha worked for Lockheed Martin running the company store, where she was beloved by both local employees as well as visiting dignitaries for her tireless efforts in finding or creating the right t-shirts embroidery, or other mission ceremonial memorabilia.
She also was a proud Room mother, team mother, and additional emotional support mother to all the children in the community.
Letha volunteered free time as a member of her church choir and as a counselor with the Sexual Assault Victims Advocacy group
Letha possessed a passion for horticulture and nature, spending hours tending her home landscape and caring for her furry pets, most recently cats Taz and Princess, and her dogs Smudge, Skipper and Biscuit.
