One Person Hospitalized After Shooting Incident on Poplar Lane in Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Monday morning on the 900 block of Poplar Lane.
One person was hospitalized after being shot during the incident.
Police say the investigation began when police received a call of shots fired Monday around 12:26 a.m. on the 900 block of Poplar Lane.
When police arrived they discovered one person was shot in the abdomen. Officers say three residences were also shot and a vehicle had been struck by gun fire during the incident.
The victim was transported to the hospital and was determined to be in stable condition at that time.
