Tropical System Shows Signs of Development Near Cabo Verde Islands in the Atlantic: NHC Report

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center released a report on Wednesday that shows a system developing a few hundred miles south of the Cabo Verde Islands are associated with a tropical wave.
The report says dry air should prevent significant organization during the next few days, environmental conditions could become more conducive for some development by this weekend while the wave moves westward across the central tropical Atlantic at 15 to 20 mph.
The system has a 20-percent chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next week.
