Edward was known to his loved ones as a lover of life, enjoyed a great joke and great music

Edward Thomas Germond, 64, of Cocoa Beach, FL, passed away on June 20, 2023, after a sudden, brief illness. He was born on July 8, 1958, to Gary Wyckoff Germond of Jacksonville and Paul Germond of Satellite Beach.
Edward was preceded in death by his father (Paul) and his sister, Paula Germond of Orlando, and, sadly, followed by his mother (Gary) and his beloved dog A.J. (kayak picture)
Edward, known to his loved ones as a lover of life, enjoyed a great joke and great music. He was always ready to bring a smile to the faces of those around him.
He was the undefeated household Jeopardy Champion and loved to watch SNL reruns. Edward had a passion for surfing, was an avid cook, and a highly skilled pool player.
He played football for Satellite Beach High School. After graduation, he attended Brevard Community College to study CAD. A lover of the outdoors, Edward decided to pursue a career as a landscaper and took pride in his work.
Edward is survived by his sister, Rhonda Ryle of Manassas, VA, sister, Karen Fieschko of Jacksonville, several nieces and nephews, his friend Jacqueline Fillmore of Cocoa Beach, and his other beloved furbaby, Stimpy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Jonathan’s Pub, 140 N. Brevard Avenue, Cocoa Beach. Friends and family are welcome to come share memories and enjoy some food and live music.
