Our Top Space Coast Destinations for Gamers
By Space Coast Daily // August 30, 2023
Never has there been a time when it’s easier to combine your love of gaming with socializing with friends.
Online gaming has made it incredibly easy to get everybody together virtually to enjoy gaming, but there are plenty of real-world spaces that encourage exactly the same thing but offline. We’re going to take a look at some of the best gaming and sporting spaces on the Space Coast, so that you can get together with like-minded gamers and have a great time doing what you do best.
Monkey Bar
Our first pick is Monkey Bar, a lively local hangout that shows sports on big screens and has a huge gaming area. If you enjoy the more traditional bar games, such as table football, pool, and shuffleboard, then you’ll feel right at home here. There’s a quirky, slightly tropical theme to the building, as you might expect with a name like Monkey Bar.
There’s also a well-stocked bar with deals on weeknights and an almost never-ending happy hour, from 11:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. every single day. The dedicated gaming area is what makes this place really special though. As well as the games that we’ve mentioned, you’ll also find giant Jenga, which is a great fun way to make new friends. They have also set up a video gaming area, with retro classics like Super Mario and Crash Bandicoot, the perfect titles to get a little nostalgic as you battle it out with your friends.
Victory Casino Cruises
If you’re a fan of casino gaming then you might find yourself a little short of options in Florida. Plenty of people enjoy playing online when they’re out of state and it’s not hard to see why. There are plenty of brilliant sites, including Wildz casino, with hit games such as Sweet Bonanza Canada in their gaming library. So, if you can’t make it out of state for some online gaming time, then why not venture out to sea for some in person gaming instead?
If you fancy a casino experience on the sea, then the Victory Cruise Casino is the way to go. This company offers the full casino experience on a state-of-the-art cruise liner. You’ll be picked up from Port Canaveral and get to enjoy either an evening, or overnight cruise. Expect the full Las Vegas experience in the casino, as well as fine dining in the Atlantic Restaurant and a club for after hours entertainment.
Viera High School
Hawks fans were delighted to find out that the school would be allowed to return to playing and hosting football games. So, what better way to celebrate than to get down to the pitch and cheer on some of the most promising young players in Florida? Although this isn’t strictly a gaming venue, gaming and sports certainly go hand in hand. Cheering on your home team is a brilliant way to spend an evening, and a good deal friendlier on your wallet than going to see one of the teams in the professional league.
The Brevard Game Lounge

If you’re after a classic game cafe experience then the Brevard County Game Lounge could be exactly what you’re looking for. This pioneering idea was set up by a couple of gaming enthusiasts, who wanted everybody to have access to the best games out there. The idea is simple, you can opt for a daily or monthly membership, for $5 or $10 respectively. With this membership you have access to the entire game library, including titles like Warhammer, Pokemon, and Magic the Gathering.
Of course, there’s an enormous selection of board games too, which are all available to play at the lounge, or to rent and take home for a small fee. This is the perfect spot for gamers who want to dip their toe into all kinds of different games for a tiny fee.
