Rockledge Man Dies After Single Vehicle Crash on Viera Blvd. Near I-95

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 47-year-old Rockledge man has died after single vehicle crash early Friday morning on Viera Blvd., west of I-95, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities say the man was traveling in his 1997 GMC Sierra, heading westbound on Viera Blvd., when the vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a curb on the median around 12:38 a.m. ET.
The impact caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, collide with a fence and ejected the driver from the vehicle.
As a result of the crash, the driver was later pronounced dead at Viera hospital, according to Cpl. Wenzel.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
