38-Year-Old Cape Canaveral Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash On State Road 520 in Cocoa Beach

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – A motorcyclist has died following a Sunday morning Sept. 17 crash with another motorist that occurred in the 400 block of State Road 520, according to the Cocoa Beach Police Department.

Cocoa Beach police officers responded to the eastbound lanes of West Cocoa Beach Causeway near the relief bridge at 5:37 a.m., in reference to a traffic crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

The operator of the motorcycle, a 38 year old male, whose permanent address is in Cape Canaveral, impacted the rear of a pickup truck as both vehicles were traveling east on State Road 520.

According to police, the motorcycle operator was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the pickup, Blake Brock, of Rockledge, 39, was uninjured.

The identity of the motorcycle operator has been withheld pending notification to next of kin and this investigation is ongoing.
