Eastern Florida State Women’s Cross Country Places 11th at FAU Cross Country Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College women’s cross country team placed 11th at the FAU Cross Country Invitational Friday at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton. Sophomore Rachel Starr finished 24th overall with a time of 19 minutes, 13.35 seconds in the 5K race. Teammate Marlie Gonzalez was 54th overall with a time of 20:34.21 while Isabella Narvaez finished in 21:35.07 and Amelia Shephard ran 21:54.67. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s cross country team placed 11th at the FAU Cross Country Invitational Friday at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton.

The Titans were placed in front of NCAA Division II Barry University and behind Division II school Lynn University. Eastern Florida State College finished with 291 points.

Sophomore Rachel Starr finished 24th overall with a time of 19 minutes, 13.35 seconds in the 5K race. Teammate Marlie Gonzalez was 54th overall with a time of 20:34.21 while Isabella Narvaez finished in 21:35.07 and Amelia Shephard ran 21:54.67.

Lauren Deal ran a 23:08.60 and Sierra Kohler finished at 23:51.99.

Eastern Florida State College will compete in the Southern Showcase on Sept. 15 in Huntsville, Alabama.
