BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools students competed head-to-head in the JA Stock Market Challenge.

The JA Stock Market Challenge is a live simulation where students apply what they learned in the classroom to the real world.

Teams were issued $500,000 and had two hours to buy and trade mock stock in 30 fictitious companies.

At the end of the trading session, Heritage High School had two teams that placed first and second with the largest portfolio, while Space Coast Jr/Sr High School secured third place.

Prizes included a trophy, medals, brand-new laptops, tickets to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and scholarships.
