Sharpes Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on US-1, One Injured

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 53-year-old Sharpes woman died Tuesday morning after vehicle crash on US-1 near Tupelo Circle.
According to the investigation, the woman was traveling southbound on US-1 at 7:30 a.m. when she attempted to make a U-Turn but lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle crossed across the grass median and into the direct path of an oncoming vehicle and crashed into the vehicle. As a result of the crash, the second vehicle overturned.
The 53-year-old Sharpes woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle is identified as 32-year-old man from Cocoa. He suffered minor injuries and was transported to Rockledge Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
