BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brady Hart, the standout quarterback from Cocoa High School, has been named 2024 Mr. Football by the Florida Dairy Farmers, an honor that goes to the top high school football player in the Sunshine State.
Hart’s selection caps a remarkable senior season during which he led the Tigers to the Class 2A state championship in December with a commanding victory over Gadsden County.
Last month, Hart, 16, announced his decision to flip his commitment from Michigan and reclassified to the Class of 2025. In December, he officially signed his Letter of Intent to play for the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station, Texas, next year.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound signal caller will be an early enrollee at Texas A&M and is expected to compete for the starting job right away.
As a consensus 4-star recruit by all three major recruiting outlets (247Sports, Rivals, ESPN), he is ranked No. 134 in the ESPN 300 2025 class after reclassifying from the 2026 class.
Coached by Ryan Schneider at Cocoa High School, He wraps up his time at Cocoa with a staggering 8,244 passing yards and 82 touchdowns, cementing his status as one of the most accomplished passers in the program’s history.
As a first-year starter in 2023, he completed 288-of-437 for 3,759 yards and 41 scores while leading the Tigers to a 14-1 record and a FHSAA 2A state title.
In his final high school campaign, Hart delivered a stunning performance, completing 265 of 390 passes (67%) for 4,360 yards and 40 touchdowns.
His consistent excellence under center continues Cocoa High’s legacy of producing elite quarterbacks, following in the footsteps of Blake Boda, who earned similar accolades in 2022.
Hart’s high school career is nothing short of historic. Over three years, he was a key part of three state championship teams, including back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024.
In Cocoa’s December Class 2A state championship win, a 38-27 victory over Gadsden County, the Player of the Game honors went to Hart, who delivered a standout performance both through the air and on the ground, passing for 259 yards and adding 64 rushing yards, accounting for two total touchdowns in the win.
For the Cocoa Tigers, Hart’s contributions have further solidified their dominance in Florida high school football, and his future at Texas A&M promises to be one to watch.
