Downtown Melbourne Streets to Close for Space Coast Pride Festival

In effect from 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 through 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 27

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The City of Melbourne has announced that Downtown Melbourne will see several street closures later this month as the city prepares for the Space Coast Pride Festival.

Officials announced that New Haven Avenue from Livingston Street to Campbell Park, along with Municipal Lane and portions of nearby streets, will be closed to traffic beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 26.

The closures will remain in effect through 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.

The closures are necessary to accommodate the annual festival, which draws large crowds for its celebration of diversity and community pride.

City officials encourage residents and visitors to plan ahead for detours and allow extra travel time if driving through the downtown area during the event.
