Viera Boys Wrestling Claims Second Place at Bulldog Duals After Strong Tournament Run

Viera finished in 2nd Place overall out of 12 teams

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Viera High School boys varsity wrestling team delivered an impressive performance at the Bulldog Duals on Saturday, December 14, earning a second place finish among 12 competing teams at St. Cloud High School.

The Hawks dominated much of the tournament, winning four consecutive matches before meeting Cocoa Beach, the second ranked team in Class 1A, in the championship round.

Viera opened the day with a commanding 60-21 victory over Titusville, followed by a 44-30 win against Auburndale. The momentum continued as the team defeated Kissimmee-Osceola 50-27 and secured a 47-36 win over Plant City to advance to the finals.

Two Hawks stood out with flawless individual performances. Senior Landon Keck, competing at 190 pounds, and junior Ryker Tomas, wrestling at 175 pounds, each posted a perfect 5-0 record for the tournament.

In the championship match, Viera faced a tough Cocoa Beach squad and fell 60-21, earning the Hawks a strong second place finish overall.

The team’s success at the Bulldog Duals marks another step forward for the program as Viera continues to build momentum heading into the heart of the wrestling season.
