Annual ‘Light Up Viera’ Christmas Parade Set Today at 6 p.m., Will Include Fireworks from Space Coast Daily Park

Featuring 40 beautifully decorated floats, will culminate in stunning holiday fireworks display

The Light Up Viera Christmas Parade, known for uniting thousands of Brevard County residents in the joyous spirit of the season, will take place on Saturday, November 30. It will have a new route but all of the traditional festivities.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA–The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity will co-host the 2024 Light Up Viera Christmas Parade with the Viera Company.

This cherished holiday event, known for uniting thousands of Brevard County residents in the joyous spirit of the season, will take place on Saturday, November 30, with a new route but all of the traditional festivities.

The parade will once again dazzle audiences with approximately 40 beautifully decorated floats and culminate in a stunning holiday fireworks display along Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Stadium Parkway, and Bresley Drive.

This holiday spectacle celebrates the Christmas season and highlights BCSO and the BCSO Charity’s commitment to supporting our community.

“Our agency is honored to partner with the Viera Company and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity to carry on this incredible tradition as we know how much it means to our community,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

The Light Up Viera Christmas Parade is a true kickoff to the holiday season and has become a symbol of togetherness and joy in our community.

“We invite everyone to join us on November 30 for a magical night filled with the warmth and wonder of Christmas. Let’s light up Viera together and celebrate the season’s spirit,” said Sheriff Ivey.

Marching bands from Viera High School and Merritt Island High School will perform, and The Viera Company will donate to each high school participating in the parade, with funds going to the schools’ music programs.

The event will feature a fireworks display at 6 p.m. from Space Coast Daily Park, and at 6:10 p.m., the parade procession will begin at the corner of Lake Andrew and Judge Fran Jamieson Way.
