Elvis Costello is an English singer-songwriter. He came to prominence as an early participant in London’s pub rock scene in the mid-1970s and later became associated with the punk/New Wave genre.

Steeped in word play, the vocabulary of Costello’s lyrics is broader than that of most popular songs. His music has drawn on many diverse genres; one critic described him as a “pop encyclopedia,” able to “reinvent the past in his own image.”
Costello has won multiple awards in his career, including a Grammy Award. In 2003, Elvis Costello was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked Costello number 80 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
Elvis Costello and the Imposters have announced the first Spectacular Spinning Songbook dates of 2012 with shows in the Southeast US this April. The tour hit more than 30 cities in 2011, garnering acclaim at every turn.
At each performance, select fans are invited on stage to spin the Wheel, helping to create new sets at each performance from a collection of 40 banners including hits, rarities, and a few surprises.
This tour marks the Wheel’s first appearance in 25 years and includes an on-stage go-go cage and “Society Lounge” in addition to the monumental game-show wheel.
