SUNTREE COUNTRY CLUB • BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Ryan Allison has set the record for lowest 18-hole score on the Space Coast Junior Golf Tour (JGT), carding a 2-under 70 Monday at rain-softened Suntree Country Club.
Allison, of Melbourne, recorded four birdies, to go along with 2 bogies. It was the lowest personal score Allison has posted in competition.
“I started getting some confidence after making birdie on the 6th and even though I bogied the 8th,” Allison said.
The bogey, on the 8th, came after Allison flew the green and failed to get up and down for par.
“Except for the 8th hole, I felt like I was hitting my irons good and even when I missed a little, the ball was still on the green and my lag putting was good today so I had a lot of short tap-ins for par.”
Allison, 17, made the turn at 1 under par and finished with a nice run on the back nine, as he birdied holes 14 and 16. His only flaw was a three putt bogey on the 18th. Allison recorded the lowest 18-hole score ever at a Space Coast JGT event.
“Coming down the stretch, I didn’t play as well as I could have, because I had 5 or 6 putts inside 10 feet that I feel I could have made – and then I three putted 18 for bogie,” said Allison after the round.
“I definitely felt it could have been better.”

The purpose of the Space Coast Junior Golf Tour (SCGJT) is to introduce the community’s junior golfers to the fundamentals and etiquette of golf in a fun environment while gaining exposure for those that want to take their talents to the next level.
