Ford New Golf Pro At Suntree Country Club

BREVARD COUNTY • SUNTREE, FLORIDA – Suntree Country Club General Manager Steve Lamontagne has announced the addition of Steve Ford as assistant golf professional.

Ford succeeds Brent Naylor, who was promoted to head golf professional in June. In addition to member services, Ford will offer golf instruction to members and non-members.
Ford’s previous experience includes serving as director of instruction at both The Majors Golf Club in Palm Bay, and Baytree National Golf Links in Melbourne.
A veteran of more than 140 PGA nationwide tour events, Ford’s career highlights include: semi-finalist at U.S. Amateur, Jupiter Hills (1987); contestant at Masters Tournament, Augusta, Georgia (1988); 7-time champion of the NGA Hooters Tour, and Hooters Tour Player of the Year (1997); and 16 top ten finishes on the nationwide tour.

A native of Brevard County, and 30-year resident of Suntree, Ford is a graduate of Brevard Community College and Eau Gallie High School. His final two years of college were spent at Georgia Southern University, where he was a member of the golf team.
He and his wife of 17 years, Sharon, have three children – two daughters, ages 16 and 11, and a son, age 9.
