BREVARD COUNTY • INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, FLORIDA – A committee of local women are joining together to host Candlelighters of Brevard’s annual Ladies’ Night Out to assist Brevard County kids and their families facing childhood cancer.

The event will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Gleason Park Reception Center in Indian Harbour Beach.

“TV Legends is our theme for 2012 — sure to add Hollywood flair to the evening — and our planning couldn’t be going any better,” said event co-chair Robin Carroll. “We’re already blessed with many generous sponsors, including WA1A 107.1-Timmy Vee, Brevard Hyundai Dealers, Sorelli Hair & Spa, and Flirty Fitness, just to name a few.”

Tickets for this event are now available for a donation of $40 per ticket and anyone reserving seats by Aug. 1 will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a sleek limo ride for up to seven ladies for this fun evening, graciously donated by JJ’s Hot Rayz Limousines.

A $40 donation includes:

• Best-dressed TV Legends Prize Contest

• Adult beverages, heavy hors d’oeuvres & desserts

• Dancing, Basket & Live Auction

Candlelighters of Brevard, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to children with cancer and their families by offering emotional support and financial assistance.

They offer support and services to every Brevard County family, without regard to race, religion, choice of physician or healthcare facility. All 100 percent of their proceeds benefit children of Brevard County.

A statistic developed by Candlelighters revealed that families drove a total of more than 182,000 miles last year seeking treatment for their children.

Basing that figure on $3 per gallon of gas results in more than $27,300 Candlelighters families had to spend.

Candlelighters is proud to be able to offer the financial support to assist with gas, tolls, and car repairs,  just one of their many programs.
