To that end, the Brevard County Historical Commission, a division of Library Services, has donated 28 sets of its popular three-volume “History of Brevard County” to each of the county’s middle and high schools.

These books, which cover the county’s history from its earliest times to the 1980s, will be placed in the media centers of each school so that students can be informed about the rich history of our area.

The donation, which is valued at $2,630, will be recognized at the Brevard County School Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11.

Anyone interested in purchasing a set of books for themselves may contact the Historical Commission at 321-633-1794 or visit the commission’s web site at http://ww3.brevardcounty.us/history/
