Glenn’s Tire & Service Earns ‘Better Business of Year’

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce of East Central Florida has selected Glenn’s Tire & Service of Melbourne as the Better Business of the Year for 2012.
Chosen by the Better Business Council, Glenn’s was chosen from the 2012 monthly Better Business of the Month winners to receive the annual award for displaying and promoting truth and integrity throughout the local business community.
This honor coincides with the automotive service company’s 60-year anniversary. The family business begun by Glenn Carmichael has been a fixture in the Melbourne business community for decades.
Glenn’s is among seven businesses being recognized at the Chamber’s Feb. 1 Installation Banquet from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Florida Tech Aviation hangar in Melbourne.
The banquet will follow a WWII aviation theme with the Melbourne Regional Airport sponsoring the appearance of a Tico Belle WWII C-47 cargo/transport plane that is being flown in by the Valiant Air Command/ War Bird Museum in Titusville.
Glenn’s will be honored along with Port Canaveral and the Runaway Country music festival, which will receive the Chamber’s top business award.
