Melbourne Police Hunt RadioShack Armed Robber

Suspect's Identity Sought

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Police in Melbourne are searching for a suspect who robbed a RadioShack store Friday morning.

Melbourne Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Sheridan Shelley said a man entered the RadioShack  at 1270 N. Wickham Road about 9:15 a.m.  Friday and held an employee at gunpoint.

During the robbery, the suspect tied the employee’s hands together and proceeded to steal an undisclosed number of cell phones and iPads.

Shelley said the suspect is described as a light skinned black male, about 6-feet tall weighing 220 pounds and in his 20’s.

He was wearing light colored clothing, a white baseball cap and carried a handgun.

According to Shelley, the suspect may have had an accomplice as he was overheard speaking with another male in an unknown foreign language.

Officers conducted a thorough area search, but no suspects were located.
