‘Philadelphia Flasher’ Busted By Sheriff’s Office

BAREFOOT BAY, FLORIDA – Steven Barrick of Philadelphia, Pa., AKA the “Philadelphia Flasher,” was arrested today by Brevard County Sheriff Deputies.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office received information from the United States Marshal Service that the 45-year-old Barrick was wanted on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant relative to a Failure to Appear on pending charges.

The Marshal Service had developed information that Barrick was believed to be heading to Florida and possibly had relatives residing in Brevard County. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit tracked Barrick to Barefoot Bay where he was working as a handyman. Deputies arrested Barrick without incident.

According to the Philadelphia police, Barrick’s lengthy rap sheet dates back to 1986 and includes almost 20 prior arrests, with charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness among them.

Barrick was transported to the Brevard County Jail under a no bond status pending extradition back to Pennsylvania.
