BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A man was shot to death overnight at a Melbourne bar.

Commander Sean Riordan of the Melbourne Police Department said during an argument at the Hangover Lounge at 671 Washburn Road about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, an individual participating in a heated argument pulled out a firearm and fired at another man.

The victim collapsed in a parking lot across the street at 676 Washburn Road where he was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds,

Melbourne Police Department detectives are at the scene of the shooting and are seeking witnesses to the shooting, which has been classified as a homicide.

Riordan said the victim is Jean P. Francois of Palm Bay, 41.
