BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The 9th annual Rotary Chili Cook-Off is gaining momentum as plans come together, sponsors are secured, and chefs are signed up.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23rd in downtown Titusville.
Traffic on northbound U.S. Highway 1 will be closed so that particpants may enjoy the street-party atmosphere of the event.
“Plans are going extremely well,” says Casey Crouch, member of the Titusville Rotary Club and Co-Chair of the event. “We are always looking for more chili chefs, but sponsorship is up this year, everything seems to be going smoothly, and we’re going to have a great event.”
This is the first year the Rotary Clubs have coordinated the entire street party event on their own.
A generous grant from the City of Titusville Community Redevelopment Agency let them provide a well-planned, family event and still raise funds for the Rotary Clubs.
“Proceeds from this event are split evenly between the two Titusville Rotary Clubs,” says Matt Barringer, member of the Titusville Sunrise Rotary Club and Co-Chair of the event. “Each club has their own special projects in the community, but the majority of these dollars will be used for scholarships for our local graduating seniors.”
In addition to the grant funding, the clubs have secured TD Bank as a major event sponsor.
Tickets are $10 and allows one person an unlimited amount of chili tastings.
To purchase tickets, ask a Rotarian, or visit the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce at 2000 South Washington Avenue in Titusville or at the event.
