Event To Be At Platt Ranch

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Calling all runners and walkers.

The 3rd annual Run-Thru-The-Ranch 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, May 4, at the Platt Ranch, about five miles west of Melbourne.

Check-in time is at 6:30 with the race starting at 7:30 a.m.

The registration fee is $30 the day of the race.

This year’s event features a Watermelon Challenge. Register with a friend and run the 5K carrying a Florida-grown watermelon with special prizes for the winning team.

There also will be a Team Challenge. Get a group of friends, co-workers, schoolmates or family members together and don’t forget to show your team spirit. Please note a group should consist of four participants.

The race helps support local sustainable agriculture, which stimulates and enhances economic development and develop public awareness of the importance of agriculture to the local community and economy.
