Brevard Sheriff’s Agents Arrest Cocoa Robbery Suspects

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Laura Louise Pugh, 48-year-old Dennis Lewis Rimmer and 28-year-old Jarrod Robert Carr for robbery.

According to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Deputy Maria Fernez, deputies responded to report of a robbery on Columbine Drive in Cocoa on Sunday.
According to Fernez, a taxi cab driver advised he was called to a residence by Laura Pugh. Upon arrival of the taxi cab, two male suspects entered the cab and told the driver to wait for the female. After a short time, the males grabbed the driver around the neck and produced a knife. They forcibly removed cash from his pockets and ran from the area.
Pugh and Rimmer were subsequently located and arrested without incident. Pugh was arrested for Armed Robbery and is currently being held on a $50,000 bond. Rimmer was arrested for Armed Robbery and is currently being held on a $75,000 bond.
K9 UNIT ASSISTS IN ARREST OF THIRD SUSPECT
Late Thursday, deputies located Carr in the area of the Elkham Rd, Port Saint John. According to Fernez, Carr attempted to flee on foot during the apprehension and was subsequently arrested after the deployment of a patrol K9. Carr was charged with Armed Robbery, Resisting without Violence and Violation of Community Control (reference a previous Occupied Burglary conviction).

Carr is currently being held on a no bond status at the Brevard County Jail.
