BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Hobbs Pharmacy unveiled the new Gary and Pat Hobbs Community Room during the company’s 50th Anniversary event held this week.
The 600 square-foot room, the venue for the 50th Anniversary celebration, is designed to host community organizations such as diabetes and mastectomy support groups as well as other civic clubs.
“The Community Room is a space designed for non-profits to come together and make our community a better place to be,” said Mark Hobbs.
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey and BCSO Chief Deputy Doug Waller presented the Hobbs family with a special appreciation plaque for their service to the community. Sheriff Ivey said on the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page:
Today, myself and other members of our agency had a chance to be at Hobbs Pharmacy on Merritt Island as they celebrated 50 years of service to the local community with the grand opening of the Gary and Pat Hobbs Community Room.
The room is adjacent to the pharmacy and is designed to host community organizations such as diabetes and mastectomy support groups and other civic clubs. The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was facilitated by the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and was attended by many friends, family and patrons.
Through the years, Hobbs Pharmacy has been an incredible partner with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, providing valuable information concerning substance abuse, assisting in the disposal of unwanted or unneeded medications, and partnering with us to help bring awareness to the community about Crime Prevention and Safety Awareness.
Please join us in congratulating Hobbs Pharmacy, their incredible staff, and the entire Hobbs family for this outstanding accomplishment and also for their continued partnership to help keep Brevard County such a wonderful place.”
