Morpheus Passes Free Flight Test At Kennedy Space Center

ABOVE VIDEO: A free-flight test of the Morpheus prototype lander was conducted today at the Shuttle Landing Facility at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The 97-second test began with the Morpheus lander launching from the ground over a flame trench and ascending more than 800 feet, safely touching down after covering approximately 1,300 feet.
