BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Readers came from far and wide to the Cocoa Beach Library to see in the flesh a favorite writer and story teller, Randy Wayne White, whose Doc Ford series (21 books), set in Southwest Florida, have sold millions.
White then signed copies of “Haunted,” the third novel of his new series featuring Hannah Smith.
A totally “man’s man,” White shared anecdotes about his wild adventures in the Everglades, getting cut up on sawgrass, and walking the soles off his boots while he and his friends attempted to drag their canoes to remote destination in search of Sasquash and UFOs.
He also answered questions about his novels and his much beloved characters, as well as addressing rumors about various novels being optioned for movies or a new TV mini series. (He’ll believe it when it’s in reruns, he says.)
White then signed copies of “Haunted,” the third novel of his new series featuring Hannah Smith.
The plot of “Haunted” tells a familiar Florida tale: historic ground is set to be broken to make way for new condos. It is Hannah Smith’s task to prove that the owner of a historic building didn’t disclose all the facts when he sold to developers.
A portion of the book sales will be donated to the Cocoa Beach Library.
