Faustino, Lewis, Davis Are EFSC Student-Athletes of Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Volleyball player Fernanda Faustino and women’s soccer players Mariah Lewis and Kaleigh Davis are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of Week for the week ending Oct. 12.

Faustino, a sophomore outside and right-side hitter from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Northeastern Junior College recorded a double-double with 15 digs and 11 kills in Eastern Florida’s sweep of Broward College.

Faustino had a .733 hitting percentage against Broward with 11 kills and no errors in 15 attempts.
For the week she had 28 digs, 20 kills and three service aces.

Lewis, a freshman defender from Viera, Florida and Viera High scored what proved to be the winning goal in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Illinois Central College.
The goal was Lewis’ first of the season and came one minute and 15 seconds into the second half.
Davis, a freshman defender from Largo, Florida and Pinellas Park High, scored a goal and recorded an assist against Illinois Central for her first points of the season.
