Female Pedestrian Struck, Killed By SUV

A 58-year old female pedestrian was struck by a SUV and killed on Thursday night about 6:35 p.m. near Paradise Lane and Cocoa Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 58-year old female pedestrian was struck by a SUV and killed on Thursday night about 6:35 p.m. near Paradise Lane and Cocoa Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Judith Connelly, 73, was driving a 2012 Chevy SUV southbound on Paradise Lane in the outside lane as the victim was attempting to cross Paradise Lane from the east to the west, not in a crosswalk or intersection.

According to FHP, the pedestrian walked into the direct path of Connelly, and the front of the SUV struck the victim.

The victim, who has not been identified pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation.
