Titans Drop Doubleheader, Move to 3-3 On Season

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s softball team dropped a doubleheader on Sunday at the Triple Crown tournament in St. Augustine.

Florida State College Jacksonville blanked the Titans 5-0 in the opener and South Georgia State edged the Titans 6-5 in the second game.

Freshman Kayla Byers was the losing pitcher in the opener. Sophomore Gabby Jones went 1-for-2 at the plate.

Sophomore Dajia Jones took the loss in the second game. Freshman Katie Darrah went 2-for-4 and classmate Taylor Zittiello went 2-for-3.

Next up for the Titans, who fell to 3-3, is a 4 and 6 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach.
