Errett Named SSC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Daniel Errett (Fairfield, Conn.) has been named the Sunshine State Conference Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, announced on Monday by the SSC Office.

This is Errett’s first time being selected for the honor.

The Panthers went 3-0 last week with wins against then No. 15 Wheeling Jesuit, Ohio Valley and Saint Leo in FIT’s SSC opener.

Florida Tech defeated Wheeling Jesuit 12-9 on Monday, March 9 in Wheeling, West Virginia. Errett recorded one goal and dished out two assists while facing the Cardinals top defenseman.

On Wednesday, March 11, the Panthers overpowered Ohio Valley en route to a 21-10 victory. The 21 goals were the most scored in a game in program history. Errett paced FIT’s offense with six goals and two assists, his highest points output of the season.

Against Saint Leo, Errett helped his team jump out to an early lead and hold off the Lions for a 13-11 win in Saint Leo, Florida. He registered three goals and one assist, while also collecting three ground balls in the victory.

Errett and the Panthers’ next play at home on Wednesday, March 18 against Saint Michael’s.

Start time is 7 p.m. at Palm Bay High School’s Pirate Stadium.
