Space Coast Cancer Center Foundation Daffodil Gala Set Saturday Night

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Cancer Foundation will host its 9th Annual Daffodil Gala on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Cruise Terminal 1, located at 9050 Discovery Road in Port Canaveral.
This is the signature fundraising event of the year for the Space Coast Cancer Foundation and Space Coast Daily will be on location to conduct “red carpet” interviews.
With a “Rock Out” theme, guests at the party will enter through a custom marquee, rise up an escalator and through a time-tunnel, travelling back to the 1950’s through the 1980’s.
Rock n’ roll impersonators will wander through the soiree with live entertainment provided by the band Cover Story. A sumptuous meal will be provided and an exciting silent auction will take place with many fun and valuable items.
The Space Coast Cancer Foundation was established in 2006 with a mission is to assist cancer patients and their caregivers in Brevard county with the financial and emotional demands that are associated with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. 100% of the proceeds from this year’s gala will help people in Brevard county
The fund underwrites transportation, anti-nausea medications, pain medication, it will help with groceries, utilities and other specific living expenses.
“We provide patient transportation, direct financial assistance to help pay for pain medication, anti-nausea medication, and other support needs (wigs, scarves, hats) of cancer patients,” said Space Coast Cancer Foundation President Dr. Richard M. Levine.
