A Palm Bay woman is out $20,000 after police said con artists tricked her into thinking they won the lottery and asked her for help.
The elderly victim was in a Winn-Dixie parking lot when a con artist approached her, looking for a ride to the courthouse, authorities told WESH 2 News.
An accomplice pretending to be a stranger approached the woman and said she could take her to the courthouse. She convinced the victim to ride with them.
